Golden Beaded Necklace - Faceted w/ Teardrop
Starting in the late 1780s, you start to see gold beaded necklaces come into fashion. They show up frequently in portraits from the 1790s and remain popular throughout the Victorian era. They are a wonderful addition to a historical impression, particularly for the American Federal period.
These are a fancier version of my classic gold bead necklace, made with gorgeous faceted plated Hematite beads. They are AMAZINGLY sparkly for non-crystal necklaces, with each facet catching the light as you move around. This looks especially amazing in candlelight! There is a central teardrop dangle for added visual interest.
This necklace measures 16" long with a 2" extender chain. As you can see in the portraits, these are meant to be worn right at the base of the neck.
Also available with matching earrings, shown in the last pictures.
