Faberge-Inspired Yellow Imperial Egg Necklace - Museum Reproductions
Carl Fabergé and his workshop created some of the most exquisite pieces of art and jewelry ever made! Perhaps his most famous creations were the Imperial Eggs, which were created as gifts for the Russian Czar and his family at the end of the 19th Century.
These little eggs are inspired by those gorgeous pieces and are made with glass crystals, gold plated pewter, and enamel. The pendant is just under 1" long and is on a delicate, 18" long gold-plated chain.
I have not come across historical examples of their famous eggs being made into jewelry historically, but I couldn't resist these!
